Hi Everyone,

If you’re looking for the “key” to online success, then here it is…

You need a mentor to teach you the ropes!

If you’ve been online for a while and feel stuck, if you want to take your existing online business to the next level, or even if you’re a total newbie, then a good mentor is what you need. I was really stuck and working so hard to build my business and make money online. The result was I ended up exhausted, confused, and surrounded by tons of papers with “opportunities” claiming to make me “rich“.

Well, that’s not going to happen, you won’t get rich. But you can make a living online and you can certainly make a lot of money. That’s up to you though, depending on how much work your willing to do to make it happen. Yes, making money online does involve work! Having a mentor can get you past the learning curve though and help you get there much faster. Having a mentor put me in the right direction so I could finally stop going in circles.

In November of 2008 I became one of Alex Jeffrey’s coaching students and it’s changed my life! I had been online for quite a while and hadn’t gotten anywhere, except lost in “information overload”. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.

A lot of people never get past that point and just give up. Please don’t give up! You really can become successful, you just need help to get past that pesky “learning curve“. It can be very hard to make money online without having a mentor to show you how… But once you have people to help you’ll be very surprised at the difference it makes and how much easier it is than you thought.

With Alex’s coaching I learned what I needed to know to build my online business, and how to “Take Action” to get where I want to be. What I want is to help others to make money online.

I am in the process of co-writing an e-Book with another one of Alex’s students, John Bullard. It’s really exciting! I never would have thought that I could come up with ideas for my own product or e-Book, much less actually write one. I was racking my brain trying to come up with ideas, then along came Alex.

I had heard so many times how you need to create your own product, build a profitable opt-in list, get targeted traffic to your web site, make videos, market yourself, etc…

With Alex’s help I learned to put all of this knowledge together with amazing results. Now I’m writing an e-Book, generating traffic, have made videos, and so much more! Now I have so many ideas it’s unbelievable! Couldn’t have done it all without Alex.

It was such a relief, I wasn’t alone anymore! It’s awesome to have Alex and the other coaching students to talk to and to give and get help from each other. No more going in circles (YAY!). It really did make things so much easier. You don’t have to be alone either.

If I can do it, so can you. You can build your own online business and be your own bossFULLTIME! With a good mentor you can do more than just imagine the possibilities – you can make them a REALITY!

You can’t just get any old mentor though, of course. Your mentor needs to be someone who really cares about helping you succeed.

Luckily Alex just opened up his coaching program again, and he really is a very good mentor. As a previous student I’ve experienced the results and I personally know many of other students of Alex’s that are doing exceptionally well. I wanted to share this exciting opportunity with you so you can become “un-stuck” and start moving forward with your own online business.

I’m sorry for going on and on, I just can’t emphasize enough how much Alex has helped me and how many lives his coaching has changed.

If you haven’t read Newbie’s Nightmare, Alex’s FREE Report, you can get your copy here: Newbie’s Nightmare

If you’re interested in having a mentor who can really help you change your life you can check out Alex’s video about his coaching program here:

If you decide you’d like Alex to coach you and sign up through me, I will give you a refund of $250.00. Alex’s Coaching! Yes, Alex is THAT good! I truly believe in this because of what he’s done for me.

All you need to do to get your $250.00 refund from me is to email me a copy of your paid receipt after signing up through me. My email address is lorijames@everythinghomebiz.com. You’re refund will be sent to you right away after your payment goes through.

P.S. It took me a while to write this post, I really wanted to get my point across about how much having a good mentor is changing my life and the lives of other people I know. Again, I truly believe that this is the way to go because of the difference it’s made for me. I am trying not to sound too “salesy”, but Alex is a good mentor and there are many who have benefited tremendously from his coaching. I really, truly want you to realize how important this opportunity could be for you. My hope is that you realize you don’t have to be alone anymore and that there really are people out there who can and want to help!

Hi Everyone,

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Of course last week’s ISP problem put me behind, but I’ve also been very busy catching up and working on a few other things to share with you.

I had been trying for the last few weeks to figure out how to include my “live url” with my YouTube videos. It was getting a little nerve-wracking! So last night while I was speaking on the phone with another one of Alex Jeffreys students, John Bullard, I asked if he knew how to add a “live url” to a YouTube video, and he did! Yeah! I could FINALLY include my site’s url!

Here is how to include your site’s “live url” with your YouTube video:

- Sign in to Your YouTube account.

- Place the cursor on top of your user name and you will see choices in the drop down box.

- Click on “My Videos“. You will see a list of your videos.

- Click on the title of the video that you want to add your site’s url to. This will pull up your video along with the info you had already put in about your video.

- Under where you see your YouTube url and the embed code you’ll see “Edit Video“.

- Click on “Edit Video“. This will pull up your Title, Description, Tags, etc. which you previously filled in.

- Go to the very first line of the description and add your site’s url (for example: http://www.everythinghomebiz.com).

- Go to the second line and put your description. Don’t skip a line, just make sure your url is on the first line by itself with your description starting directly under the url on the 2nd line.

- Go to the bottom of the page and click on “Submit changes”.

Now your site’s “live url” will be included with your YouTube video!

Wow, I’m so happy John knew how to do that! Be sure to visit John Bullard’s blog and check it out!

Take care,

Lori James

Hi Everyone,

Last night I started the process of making my very first online video! I was very anxious to make my first video, so that meant dong it myself with my digital camera.

It took quite a while to find the “right ” location, as in where I would actually be seen on my video without looking like I was being twisted into a pretzel! I had my camera propped on shoe boxes in my living room, tried the kitchen counter, and various other little tricks! I finally found the ideal spot in my dining room on a little shelf on my computer desk where one of the speakers sits. This way I could sit at my computer in my chair and actually be comfortable!

The next thing was to do a test. I did test photos with my camera until I found the right position with lighting and distance, and background (I’m sure no one wants to see my laundry rack in the background!). And of course I wanted to make sure my head wouldn’t be cut off in my video!

Ok, so now that I had the perfect spot it was time to start making my video! My first try was so awful, I had to laugh! I did retakes for an hour and a half, and to my surprise I was getting better and better at it! I ended up with tons of “bloopers”, just like on tv, like mixing up words, forgetting what I wanted to say and getting tongue tied! One time I said “Hi, I’m Lori James from “Mortgage Professionials Incorporated”! Now where the heck did that come from? I haven’t worked there in over a year! As time went on though, and I got more used to myself being in a video, my videos actually got better and better! (Believe me, they couldn’t have gotten any worse than the first one I took!)

By the end of the hour and a half I was so close to having a decent first video – then my camera’s battery died! So, I put in on the charger and will pick up where I left off later tonight!

I’m much more confident now than I was when I started out last night, so I’m sure that tonight will be the night that I’ll complete my first video!

It’s very important though to not take yourself too seriously! Even if you have to do tons of retakes, you WILL get better at it each time! I chose to laugh at myself and have fun with it, instead of becoming frustrated. After all, I’ve never taken a video of myself before, so I couldn’t expect it to turn out the way I wanted it to on the first tries, right?

So, if this is the first time you’re making a video of yourself my advice is to be patient, have fun, laugh at your “bloopers” and you’ll see how much progress you really are making with each retake you do! Next thing you know, your first video will be ready to put up online!

I’ll let you know when my video is up!

Have a great day,

Lori James

Who would have thought there were so many different ways to get traffic to your site? Al;ex Jeffreys showed all of us “students” some very powerful ways to get lots of traffic to our blogs on our Friday night coaching session.

It amazes me how many different types of traffic strategies are out there, and how the results can be different for each person!

I can’t wait to start putting the traffic getting strategies Alex taught us Friday night into action over the next few days! I’ll keep you updated on my progress!

Thursday night 1/8/09 was Alex Jeffreys bonus webinar for his students. Maria Andros, “Queen of Video Marketing”, was Alex’s “guest speaker”. Maria was really awesome, she’s so full of passion and a love for what she’s doing, it’s contagious!

Video marketing is a great way to get a lot of traffic You can have your traffic going direct;ly to your squeeze page or to your blog!

After listening to Maria speak last night I’m ready to do a video this weekend. I have been putting off getting into videos, I was nervous that I would freeze up or say something ridiculous, etc… Maria somehow did a great job of giving me the confidence I need to create a video. I learned to “just do it” and not to worry if my video isn’t perfect.

Maria provided so much great information for all of us to start taking action on. She has accomplished so much – and to make $12,000+ in her first few months of doing videos – incredible!

You can check out one of Maria’s videos here: Video Marketing Queen

I’m determined to complete my first video this weekend, and I’d love to hear your opinions. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s completed!

Say “cheese!”

Take care,

Lori James

Hi Everyone,

Here is a really great “HTML Help Sheet” I found on Scribd. I embedded it on my blog and printed it out for reference.

I’m not so great yet with HTML, so it’ll be a big help to me. I hope this can be helpful to you too!

Take care,

Hi Everyone,

I have been extra busy the last few days working on getting traffic to my site. Now that the holidays and my grandson’s birthday are over I’ll have much more time available!

Here are some things I’m doing to get some traffic to my blog:

Technorati Favorites Blog Exchange

- I went to Jack Humphreys blog and participated in the Technorati Favorites Blog Exchange. What you need to do is favorite Jack Humphreys blog on Technorati, then leave him a comment with your URL and your Technorati user name and he’ll favorite you back! You can also favorite everyone who left him comments with their information.

I’ve heard that this is working well for some of Alex Jeffreys other students, so I finally got a chance to try it out. I will be going back to Jack’s blog today to favorite everyone who left their info in their comments. I think this one is a really great idea and could work well for getting traffic.

Social Bookmarking

- I visited J.T.Martin’s blog and saw that he had a great idea for Alex’s Students to start utilizing social bookmarking when visiting each others blogs! When you go to a fellow student’s blog and read a post take a few extra minutes to bookmark their post. This is something that will be helpful to all of us!

After reading J.T.’s post I signed up for a free account atOnlyWire. You will need to create an account with each social bookmarking site listed, which will take a little time, but it’s worth it in the long run. With Onlywire you will be submitting to 20+ social bookmarking sites all at once which will save you a lot of time. OnlyWire has a Wordpress plugin you can use, or an html script you can paste into your site to to add the “bookmark and share” button.

Then, of course, you can visit some of the other student’s sights and bookmark their posts!

Other Social Bookmarking Sites

I also created an account at Digg, which is very popular.
Reddit is another good site to sign up with.

I’ll be creating a Squidoo lens tonight!

Have a great day!
